Italian drinks company and owner of Disaronno and Tia Maria, Illva Saronno Group, has bought a majority stake in US rye whiskey brand and distillery, Sagamore Spirit.

Tia Maria is set to relaunch its Coffee Cocktail Month initiatives following its international success from last year.

The CEO of Disaronno parent company Illva Saronno, Augusto Reina, has said they plan to reach 1m cases of Indian whiskey in the near future.

Tia Maria is bringing back Coffee Cocktail Month for a second time this October, coinciding with International Coffee Day on 1 October.

Coffee liqueur brand Tia Maria has received a packaging update. The new bottle design was unveiled at Lovebox music festival in London. Argentina, Holland and Canada are also set to receive the new packaging.

Monarq Group is to distribute Tia Maria and Disaronno in the Caribbean domestic and duty free markets.
